Matt Veto - Commissioner

  Matt Veto created Veto League Baseball in 1998. Matt is a graduate of Moline High School and St. Ambrose University (Davenport). Outside of Veto League, Matt is a sports writer at the Dispatch and The Rock Island Argus newspaper in the Quad-Cities. He loves writing, broadcasting, Oreo Cookies, and Nintendo. Matt writes game stories, maintains the Web site, and is in charge of final decisions made for the league.

 

           

Kiel Engstrom -V.P.

 

  Kiel Engstrom joined Veto League in 1999. Kiel is a graduate of Moline High School and attended Illinois State University. He has consistently participated year after year. Kiel is an associate at Menard's and enjoys watching the Cubs, playing baseball, hitting home runs, and laughing at Brett Carlson. Kiel oversees play on the field and maintains order. He is a leader on the field and has contributed greatly to the expansion of the league.

 

          

Jeff Kilgard - Treasurer

 

  Jeff Kilgard joined Veto League in 1999. Jeff is a graduate of Moline High School and Western Illinois University. If Jeff could make a living off of Veto League, he would do so. In the meantime, he can do your taxes with H & R Block or deliver you a pizza from your neighborhood Papa John's. Jeff is an avid Cubs fan (no matter the state of the team) has nearly every Nintendo game imaginable, and actually built his own arcade. Jeff plays assists with the organization and innovation of Veto League and in charge of the Veto League Baseball account.

 

              

Josh Paul - Secretary

 

  Josh Paul joined Veto League in 2003 and has missed fewer games in that time span than any member of the VLB. Josh is a graduate of Pleasant Valley High School (Bettendorf, Iowa) and St. Ambrose University (Davenport, Iowa). He is a police officer in Bettendorf, Iowa and enjoys exercising, whether it's running, lifting weights, or playing ultimate Frisbee. Josh is a Cubs supporter and has played a huge part in Veto League player relations. He has contributed enormously to the expansion and success of the league in recent years. Josh manages Veto League contact information, assists in managing players and games, and compiles statistics for the Web site.

Scott Ellefritz - Speaker

  Scott Ellefritz joined Veto League in 1999. Scott is a graduate of Moline High School and Western Illinois University (Moline, Ill.). He is an accounting major and works in the family business, Ellefritz Tax Service in Moline. Scott is well-known on the field for his quick glove. He has contributed many ideas and opinions to how the league can improve. Scott is an avid supporter of the league and would play three games a day if time allowed. Scott is a Dodgers fan, loves Family Guy episodes, and using the power of persuasion. He continues to spread the word about the league to help in its expansion.
